Triple glazing – New product release

Friday, April 1st, 2011

We are proud to release our new triple glazed windows, since there’s two layers of argon filled glass in our triple glazed windows they offer better heat insulation. Another perk is the sound insulation they provide, if you leave near a noisey area or next to a main road we recommend thinking about having triple glazing installed.

Having an extra layer of glass is also an excellent deterrent against unwanted guests and with all our windows being reinforced and having galvanised steel frames they’re a huge development in the glazing industry. If you’re interested in finding out more come down to our showroom or call one of our team for a free, no obligation quote.

Why should you choose UPVC?

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

One of the important options that needs to be decided when choosing to install a window, door or conservatory is the material with which the frames will be constructed.

In recent years, the use of un-plasticized Polyvinyl Chloride or uPVC has grown hugely in popularity and is now one of the most recommended and widely chosen materials used by home improvement companies.
Here’s some of the reason’s you should think of using UPVC:

Excellent weather resistance

Polymer uPVC withstands most conditions, it is highly weather resistant quality is achieved from a high impact resistant formulation. It withstand long exposure in extreme weather, like under scorching sun, storms, dryness or high humidity.

Economical & Maintenance Free

UPVC products are very economical when compared to the other alternatives like wood, aluminum, etc. Also it is very easy and quick to fabricate & install without any massive labour work. Looking upon other advantages like closed, smooth surface makes it extremely easy to clean, using any household detergent in water.

Cost

One of the factors considered will inevitably be the cost of the materials and this will probably influence decisions one way or the other. When it comes to pricings, however, uPVC is usually the cheapest material on offer after things like aluminium and timber. This is far from uPVC’s greatest attraction, but its relative cost effectiveness is certainly a bonus that makes a difference.

How PC is your PVC?

Monday, June 21st, 2010

As we are all urged to help save the planet from global warming, the Governments efforts to reduce energy increases! From not boiling too much water for your cup of tea to loft insulation, we’re all being encouraged to take part, not for us, but for our children and our children’s children, and our children’s children’s children (you get the picture!).

A Rated Windows

One of the main ways to quickly reduce the loss of energy in your home is double glazing – not just double glazing (although if you still don’t have double glazing at home you’d certainly notice the difference once you did!) but A Rated double glazing! This works exactly the same way as the ratings on white good products such as washing machines and fridges do… they are rated based on how energy efficient they are.

So if you have double glazing already and feel like you are doing your bit for the environment and to reduce energy loss then why not replace your existing windows with our new A Rated windows? If you want more information on this you can find it online on our website, or give us a call and we’d be more than happy to help, even if it’s simply information that you’re after, or a quote for the installation in your own home.
