Recent Installation – Double Glazing Windows in Newcastle upon Tyne

Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

The most recent double glazing installation added to the Ramsdale portfolio takes us to Newcastle upon Tyne, whereby our double glazing experts transformed the exterior of a lifeless looking property into a fresh and contemporary home.

With the entranceway, the customer opted for their very own bespoke design, which incorporated a white UPVC door with an arched glass design and two side panels, one for either side of the door. Each panel was separated by a horizontal bar, with double glazed units installed above and below the bar.

As requested by the customer, the flat windows installed downstairs were fitted in four parts, with four top openers (dummy sash bottoms). The upstairs windows consisted of a four section and three section design which were also fitted with side openers.

All the double glazing windows on this particular house are A-rated, energy efficient windows. The argon filled units provide the windows with heat retaining capabilities, freeing this customer from the expensive heating bills that the previous draughty windows could not afford.

With the double glazing installation completely project managed by the double glazers at Ramsdale, we managed to complete the job once again, within timescale and budget. The customer came to us with a concept that was distinctively unique for this particular area and we were able to complete it.

So for double glazing in Newcastle upon Tyne, look no further than the North East’s number one bespoke glazing experts. Contact Ramsdale today or feel free to pop into our Middlesbrough-based showroom, we are a 30 minute drive from Newcastle City Centre. Alternatively, check out our double glazing gallery!

Double glazing windows installed before Christmas!

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

T’was the night before Christmas when all through the house…”it freezing cold!” scream my kids and my spouse! A subtle change on the original verse, yet with factors such as draughty, weather damaged windows, this pre-fabricated Christmas tale will be all too familiar in many homes this festive season.

If you were thinking of delaying in buying double glazing in Middlesbrough or even double glazing in the North East, why risk ruining your Christmas only to benefit from them in the New Year? As the North East’s favourite Double Glazing installers, Ramsdale can guarantee to fit your double glazing windows before Christmas day, providing you and yours a warm and cosy Christmas and a cost effective New Year.

Still not convinced? Well hopefully the numerous additional benefits of ordering Ramsdale A-rated double glazing windows before Christmas will change your mind:

15% discount on Double Glazing Windows – If Ramsdale customers order their energy-efficient windows by Wednesday 17th December 2011, they will not only have their windows installed by Christmas, but will also receive a fantastic 15% discount on each and every window installed.

Reduction on fuel bills – Up to 18% of heat in a typically un-insulated property is lost through draughty windows. In order to supplement this heat loss, people tend to utilise their central heating by increasing the temperature and keeping it on for longer, which results in a substantial increase on their quarterly bill. With our hi-tech argon filled glass, Ramsdale A-rated windows can eliminate these fluctuating bills by maintaining the heat stored within in the home, without turning that costly heating dial.

Safety and security – With our security enhanced multi point locking system fitted as standard, our high security double glazing windows offer increased security to the exterior of your home. Specifically designed and rigorously tested, our double glazed windows offer a higher degree of safety than traditional single pane sheet glass, keeping unwanted intruders out of your home.

Long term InvestmentRamsdale windows are manufactured to last, and have been known to perform way beyond our 10 year guarantee. So you and your family can profit from a warmer, quieter and better quality of life, whilst also heightening the aesthetics and re-sale value of your property.

There you have it, without even mentioning the beautiful aesthetics, easy-clean glass, condensation free windows, customisable design options and many more features, you have numerous incentives to order your cost effective double glazing windows today!

How PC is your PVC?

As we are all urged to help save the planet from global warming, the Governments efforts to reduce energy increases! From not boiling too much water for your cup of tea to loft insulation, we’re all being encouraged to take part, not for us, but for our children and our children’s children, and our children’s children’s children (you get the picture!).

A Rated Windows

One of the main ways to quickly reduce the loss of energy in your home is double glazing – not just double glazing (although if you still don’t have double glazing at home you’d certainly notice the difference once you did!) but A Rated double glazing! This works exactly the same way as the ratings on white good products such as washing machines and fridges do… they are rated based on how energy efficient they are.

So if you have double glazing already and feel like you are doing your bit for the environment and to reduce energy loss then why not replace your existing windows with our new A Rated windows? If you want more information on this you can find it online on our website, or give us a call and we’d be more than happy to help, even if it’s simply information that you’re after, or a quote for the installation in your own home.

A B C Rated Windows As Standard

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

ABC Rated windows are now fitted as standard from Ramsdales. The A B and C windows are rated under the bfrc rated windows scheme more information is available from www.bfrc.org. Our Reg numbers are 1971 1972 1973

What Does the Energy Efficient Window Ratings Label Tell You?

The BFRC Scheme is the UK’s national system for rating the energy efficiency of windows and is recognised within the Building Regulations as a method to show compliance for your replacement windows installation.

Window Energy Ratings use a consumer-friendly traffic-light style A-E ratings guide similar to that used on ‘white’ goods (such as fridges, freezers, washing machines etc…). This ratings label can be used by you to make more informed choices about the energy efficiency of the windows you are looking to purchase.

With carbon emissions high on the global agenda and the current high cost of fuel, we are all looking for ways to make our homes more energy efficient.
